Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Amy was a great teacher. This class was required for my major and I was dreading it, but she made the course understandable.

    Course highlights:

Amy made class very serious, which I personally enjoyed. You could tell she really cared about you retaining the information (she even chased one kid who left class early to tell him he should stay and wouldn't do well if he didn't)

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Look over the practice questions on the book. A lot of them showed up on the final

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is vital to understanding accounting and the importance of paying attention to detail. It is a course that will not only teach you about the specifics of financial accounting but will train you to check answers for assignments carefully, study and take meticulous notes, and work with peers to complete group projects.

    Course highlights:

Group projects made learning the material much easier. Working with fellow students to complete ledgers and accounts in real-life situations made the course enjoyable. When the entire group contributed, everyone learned and assignments were completed with good marks.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Attending lectures is crucial to success. Taking good notes and looking over power points posted online are also very important. Because this is the first real accounting class offered at OSU, be prepared to look at the way accounts are handled in an entirely new way.
