    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend taking Jaleesa for Time Arts. You have to work hard in the class, but the discussions and activities she has make it all worth it. If you stay on top of the assignments and attend all of the classes and speak with her personally if you have any problems, she will be more than accommodating. I took two separate Time Arts classes and her content was more engaging and interesting than anyone could ever hope for.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed the broad array of different pieces and artists she presents throughout the course.. Anybody in that class can find at least one presented artist that they can share a personal connection with. The way her critiques are set up are also really personal and you really feel like you get a sense of what kind of art everybody in the room makes in their personal time. I learned a lot about my relation to other artists in this class which is a very refreshing experience.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of assignments. There are a lot of small and big assignments and falling behind on them will make it very hard to catch up because of the amount of work you have to do and the type of work it is. I highly recommend partnering up with someone outside of class to review what assignments are due and when because it can be kind of confusing.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Ric is quite possibly the greatest foundation professor, and this class helps you prepare for choosing a major by giving you little samples of everything offered at PNCA.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of the course was the animation segment, as it gave me the confidence to switch over from an illustration major even though I never had any experience with animating before.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to take this course anyway, so take it with Ric since he gives the most broad view of all the courses available (plus, he's funny!).
