Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The public administration department at Portland State emphasizes community-based, hands-on learning as an important supplement to classroom time, and for a good reason. Most PA classes involve some sort of CBL component, but 311 and 312 are some of the most dynamic. If you allow yourself to be immersed in the community opportunities provided by this class, you will leave at the end of the term having grown academically as well as mentally, intellectually, and emotionally. 311 gives you a foundation of leadership skills and enhances them through a variety of worthwhile and valuable experiences, both in and out of the classroom.

    Course highlights:

Leadership skills, and the application of them within various scenarios and communities.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Give all of yourself to each experience, and allow yourself to get out of your comfort zone--that's how you'll get the most out of this class.
