This class was tough.
Course Overview:
professor was the best, he came in everyday excited to teach us and didnt just talk at us.
Course highlights:
I gained an entirely new perspective on math and the professor was actually able to teach in a way that was understood and if someone wasnt understanding he took time out to explain further without singling said person(s) out
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Stay up on the homework and study concepts daily so that you can recall them easier! Also go to the office hours.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I wouldn't recommend it because the teacher didn't really teach us, she gave notes as fill in the blank notes, and was really hard to follow.
Course highlights:
I learned how to take an integral, and find the area under the curve, which to me was completely pointless
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Do not slack. Do your homework on time, and for the final project start it as soon as she gives it to you.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
The professor who taught this course was great at explaining the concept of the derivative as well as giving solid examples to further your understanding. Without Mr. Martwick's excellent teachings, I would certainly be at a disadvantage in my current math course, MTH 252.
Course highlights:
I learned many great things in this course including the calculus that works behind the scenes in physics. I also learned the relationships between acceleration and velocity. One of the most important concepts I've learned is related rates.
Hours per week:
9-11 hours
Advice for students:
The biggest and most helpful tip for succeeding in calculus has to be reading the textbook. If this were done by every student who took this course, I am certain not a single person would fail.
