Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to other students because even though the lecture contains many students the teacher is really good at helping students out on his free time. Bennett is willing to work with any student to make sure they grasp the concepts of his lectures, another thing is that he posts his lectures online so just in case you can not read your writing or forgot to write something down.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was studying in class by playing jeopardy of how he took the bio lectures and made it easier to grasp by putting it with examples that are easy to understand like how to make beer when he was talking about cells and fermentation.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

There are many people who can help you, but I recommend going to the professor on his office hours since he can explain the information better than anyone else can. Make sure to also read the book, and study groups are a big help!!!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Bennett understood that this was a general biology class for non-bio majors, which meant he understood that this was not our main field. He helped us to understand basic and general subjects while not cruelly pushing many specific details on us - only the ones we most needed to know.

    Course highlights:

This course covered many topics in biology. Ideas and areas we covered included: atoms & molecules, elements & compounds, biological molecules, components of a cell, DNA & DNA synthesis, photosynthesis & glycolysis, and Mitosis.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Try not to miss class. The course is a lecture, so the idea of being able to skip it is very temping, especially since it is a morning class. Don't fall into that trap! The professor makes each idea much more understandable and is very thorough, much more than the basic powerpoint slides.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This professor was incredibly insightful and helped everyone in the class understand biology at a basic level - even the non-science majors like myself.

    Course highlights:

He was very good at bringing in-class demonstrations and proving take-home labs that really illustrated what we were learning conceptually.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend the lectures even though there are dozens of students there; that was the most informative and interesting part of the whole course.
