    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is required for all biology majors and be careful because it is difficult as it is writing intensive. You learn the first half of introductory biology which is essentially the concepts that was learned in AP Biology. Be able to not give too many unnecessary details or minute facts on the questions. The point is to be clear and concise with answers.

    Course highlights:

Learned about Ecology, Evolution , and Diversity. Introduction on how to write scientific articles after carrying out numerous experiments out in the field and in the lab. Also learned how to use statistics software.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

The course is very by the book so if you can rephrase your answers according to what the book says then you're golden! You need to be concise with your answers and not just completely regurgitate the material completely in case there are problems that require application. Methods of studying include rewriting and drawing out notes for 30 hours. That's how some people study.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you intend on being a Biology or Exercise Science major take this (it’s required). It’s focused on ecology, a different aspect of Biology that I’ve studied and it’s interesting.

    Course highlights:

The lab for this class was the best part because you get to look at microscopic organisms and such under microscopes just about every week.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in lecture because although Professor Lindh is all over the place, she is a very smart woman and you can learn a lot from her.
