    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because I learned a lot and was consistently challenged by the professor. I also feel that including media studies in my wider academic work helped me be more critical of the way societal views and even source material can influence your perspective. It was a valuable learning experience.

    Course highlights:

Learning more about media studies, gaining a greater understanding of gender representation in the media, and participating in class discussions to hear the analysis of other students.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Look for the details in the piece of media you are studying and really be able to not only understand the frameworks for gender representation, but be able to apply them well in different contexts. If you need additional support, office hours are valuable.
