    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Scheirer's class was wonderful in both the atmosphere and curriculum. The content was difficult if you choose not to study, but she spends as much time as she can discussing any issues you might have understanding concepts. This class has taught me most of what I know so far about nursing and how to care for patients.

    Course highlights:

We learned about how a nurse should always be to their patients. We learned the steps to take for every patient encounter all the way through noticing issues and learning what immediate actions to take in emergency situations. The class covered a lot of material, but most of all I learned how every basic nurse to patient encounter should be done.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This course was difficult, therefore, I advise upcoming students to read the E-textbook that you are required to buy and use the Prep-U study tool as a main focus for her exams. She gives podcasts for every chapter to watch on your own time. I would suggest to take notes on those as well and use her powerpoints as study tools. If you take the time to prepare well for the exams, there is a good chance you will score well on the exams.
