    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Bethony really knows her subject and provides a lot of example to help understand the material. She doesn't go to fast, and she provides a lot of helpful visuals. She also let her studetns have acces to the powerpoint in case we needed to study.

    Course highlights:

I learned about photosynthesis, celluar respiration, the cell, metabloism, genetics, and dna/rna replication. Again the professor really knows what she's taking about and is willing to re-explain things if you don't understand.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, if you don't you'll fail. Also, show up to lecture, sometimes she says a certain fact that isn't on the powerpoint that she will put on the next exam.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a course I had to take for my degree. If that would be the case for you, this is a great intro to biology. It somewhat reviews what you may have learned in high school and then expands on that. However, if you don't need this class, I wouldn't recommend it just for fun.

    Course highlights:

We learned about cell theory and the functions of each organelle. We also touched on a little bit of chemistry such as electron configuration and pH levels. It's all a very basic introduction to biology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study. There's a lot of information packed into each exam and a lot of it can be hard to just remember off the top of your head. Also make an effort to look at the book and the whole powerpoint for each chapter. You don't always cover everything that's on the test in class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course. Daley is a very nice professor who really loves the subject matter and will answer any and all of your questions. He really does care about his students understanding the material. The tests are very tricky and difficult so this is not for the faint of heart or non-science majors.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot since I only took very basic biology courses in high school. Daley goes into a lot of detail concerning biology and makes sure you know what to expect on his tests.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the study guides early. Ask plenty of questions in class. Re write notes after the class.
