    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because It definitely got me out of my comfort zone I was able to go to the Middle East , a place I would never expect to go in my life.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course helped me learn how to rid myself of the conflicting stereotypes of Middle Eastern people, I was able to learn more about the history and culture . The way they lived, the types of food they ate, and I even learned a couple new phrases and words in Arabic.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

To really be open minded, really involve yourself in this course , ask as many questions as you would like because it's a very intriguing course.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This Preview course was by far the best experience of my life. The professors of this course made this course absolutely amazing and through the experience, have become my favorite professors. The way Peter teaches makes it engaging for all students in the class, regardless of how much you know prior to coming in. Even during the travel portion of this course both Peter and Ellen were extremely helping in navigating the city and taking the time to set up our schedule so that we have plenty of time to learn and be students but also plenty of time to do whatever we want in the city. This course is also a great way to make friends as for me, I came into this course with a bunch of strangers and am leaving this course almost as a family.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were being able to travel abroad to the place we studied about throughout the semester. Also also highlight of this course was the informal conversation we were able to have with our professors and getting the chance to not just learn more academically from them but also to be able to just enjoy having a conversation that isn't about school with them. Throughout the course I learned a lot about the Vietnam War and the relations that the United States has with Vietnam today.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this course and you will not regret it, especially if Peter and Ellen are teaching the course together. This course is an amazing opportunity to go and explore somewhere you never thought going to before and give you the opportunity to make amazing connections, both in the classroom and abroad. This class is definitely a lifelong memory that you will make.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Arcadia has a unique opportunity to allow students to experience a different culture up close and personal. To be able to take a class such as this to go to a place I have never originally heard of is perhaps one of the greatest opportunities to have apart of the college experience. It allows to dash away stereotypes and open the mind to new experiences and knowledge as well as to explore new customs and perspectives.

    Course highlights:

I am currently in the course but by taking this class directly relating to Oman I am able to learn the Arabic language, Omani history, and the customs of the culture itself, while later in March I will be studying abroad there for a week.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you plan to go to another country through this course be open-minded and be serious because you would not want prejudice people who didn't want to know about you coming into your own neighborhood so treat other countries, cultures, and customs with respect.
