    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was a requirement so many people of different majors will need to take it. Professor Shina has his own style of teaching but he explains everything well! Make sure to do all of the homework!

    Course highlights:

My classmates helped me out in this course because we would struggle on a problem and instead of giving up, we tried to figure it out until we understood it. I definitely learned a lot about probability!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to office hours!! The professor will help you out with any homework or problems that might be on an exam.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I strongly recommend taking this course at Arcadia University. Before enrolling in the course, I thought this was going to be a difficult course. However, I took away more from this course than any other course at Arcadia. I am able to apply the material I learned in this course in real life and absolutely love that!

    Course highlights:

I learned all about hypothesis testing and probability. I was able to use the hypothesis testing in other classes at Arcadia University that included research. More importantly, I was able to use the ANOVA hypothesis test in my senior thesis and effectively explain all aspects of the test to my thesis mentor.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I spent approximately two hours per lecture studying outside of class. I spent the majority of my time going over book problems, which greatly enhanced my understanding of the course. I strongly suggest doing all the assigned problems. If you do, you are guaranteed to understand the material and apply it outside of the course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Many students did not like the professor, but I would highly recommend her. The tests were also very doable, if you studied and read the book. I think a lot of kids would just not read the textbook, and it made them perform poorly in the class.

    Course highlights:

The class was very exciting for me. It was probably my favorite math class that I have taken so far. It applies very well to the real-world as well, which makes it more enjoyable.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY! Read the textbook. Don't get behind on the homework. Do all of the assignments. Do the extra credit.
