    Course Overview:

    This course is a way for students to learn what they will be studying for the reminder of their years.

    Course highlights:

    This course explained in depth about the history of social work. The aspects of how social work fits into government and how we plan to help bring the country and world together. We have projects and group work to help learn to work with other people. We focus strongly on the organizations that categorize people by race, ethnicity, and gender.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Be sure to enjoy reading and writing notes. Also, be prepared to sit and listen to lectures and fast notes.

    Course Overview:

    I gained the basic knowledge and the core foundation behind social work.

    Course highlights:

    I learned the social work predominantly a female ran profession, about one of the only ones. That it is important to not compare personal situations with the clients current situations. That we have a code of ethics that mandates that we advocate for social and political justice and the NASW is the only one that states that.

    Read your readings to be prepared for weekly quizzes

    I learned that it's all about helping other people and loving what you're doing.
