Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course helped me to understand the importance of the individual receiving services. The objectives were to keep a individual-centered focus will developing a goal that the individual could obtain with assistance and maintain. It also helped me to become aware of any biases that I had toward individuals receiving services in order to be of service to them. This course was effective in teaching me about professionalism and empathy will serving the individual.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of taking this course was learning more about effective ways to assist an individual receiving services. I learned that though an individual may have reached an obstacle that hindered them, it does not mean that they were incapable of over coming the issue, but instead an opportunity to learn a different way to overcome. That teaching experience enhances the individual as well as the helping person for future endeavors of life experiences.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to be open-minded. It is important for the student to take in account that though they may be developing a plan to assist an individual, they need to listen to the individual and what they desire for their own lives. The student needs to also take an opportunity to learn abut themselves as they learn the objectives of assisting others.
