Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. English finds creative ways to teach her class. Although this class was an online course, she made it very hands on and used several different tools to teach the class.

    Course highlights:

I learned so many things from this course. One portion of the course that stuck with me was our discussion and project on child and elderly abuse. She had several videos on the topic, and it truly changed my life. I went into the course thinking that I wanted to be a social worker, but I left the course knowing that I want to be a social worker.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of assignments and do not procrastinate. Her course is very organized and if you follow her syllabus you will not fall behind.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

This is a class that helped me understand the history and workings of social work. I also learned what I could do to spread social justice.

    Course highlights:

The history of social work and Jane Addams were very enlightening. I didn't know that the treatment of the poor was so extreme. I learned about the core values of the NASW.

    Hours per week:

    Advice for students:

Be open minded and willing to learn different information. Be culturally competent and compassionate. And take the class seriously. You will get as much out of it that you put into it.
