    Course Overview:

    This is a class that helped me understand the history and workings of social work. I also learned what I could do to spread social justice.

    Course highlights:

    The history of social work and Jane Addams were very enlightening. I didn't know that the treatment of the poor was so extreme. I learned about the core values of the NASW.

    Advice for students:

    Be open minded and willing to learn different information. Be culturally competent and compassionate. And take the class seriously. You will get as much out of it that you put into it.

    Professor really cares, gives challenging assignments but I learned a lot because he made it exciting!

    Course highlights:

    The mechanics of society, the way everything works put into words!

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Take good notes, write down everything he says but be sure study the book on your own time! There are surprise questions on the tests that he doesn't go over in class!
