    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The summer course is simply too short. Many chapters are cut out, there is a test and/or practical almost every class, and you do not learn the material properly. It makes anatomy and physiology 2 a lot harder, if you manage to pass.

    Course highlights:

Bones, nerves, organs, and cellular anatomy.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Get a study partner quickly with the same goals that you have. Learn the good tutors names. Ask a lot of questions.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Reznik teaches a challenging and fascinating A&P course. I took this class over the summer and it became a large part of my life. We had a quiz every meeting, regular lab practicals, and exams with several short answer questions and an essay question that was to be handwritten during the exam. The class was engaging, difficult, and solidifed my love for the science of the human body. Professor Reznik does not require you to buy the book and he is accessible outside of class for questions. Nobody will be handed grades and grades will not be curved. This is a great class to find out if you want to be in healthcare because you will have to work for it.

    Course highlights:

Through the successful completion of BIO 161 I learned the following: Bone anatomy Muscle anatomy Connective tissue anatomy and physiology Muscle physiology Endocrine anatomy and physiology Nervous System physiology Negative and Positive Homeostatic Pathways Brain anatomy and physiology

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would avoid this course as a summer class. If possible, I would pair this course with a humanities or a psych course to allow yourself to have ample time to study.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This professor really makes anatomy easier to learn with her teaching styles.

    Course highlights:

This course really helped me remember the body just from lectures! Professor Orlichenko helps you repeat things after class to insure you remember it and know what is going on in class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book and study the study guides provided.
