    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    It is very interesting to learn about the environment around you and the human system.

    Course highlights:

    this course touches on living organisms, their reproduction cycle, their body organs and organ systems and how they all function together

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Biology is a different language so read the material and solve lots of problems. Take advantage of all the resources available.

    Biology 110 is absolutely essential as a foundation for STEM classes.

    Course highlights:

    The highlights of this course include meaningful lectures on genetics, cell basics, and laboratory exposure.

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Print powerpoints before class if possible. Take diligent notes. Use flashcards to study key terms. Create outlines before exams WITHOUT looking at your notes. Then go back and fill in the rest of the information with your notes. This will help you get an idea of what you know versus don't know.

    The hands-on learning through lab work is a plus. You get to put what you studied into practical use.

    Be ready for lots of new words and processes you may never have heard of. Be consistent in your studies and ask for help when you need it.
