    Course Overview:

    This course is so interesting on its own and with Dr. Bela as the professor, she made the entire semester and course enjoyable.

    Course highlights:

    Doing the lab was the highlight of the week for me. My favorite unit was the genetics unit because it had the most information I didn't already know.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Make sure to study all the vocabulary. There is a lot but it's so interesting.

    Such an amazing professor ! well organized, and straight forward with the course.

    Course highlights:

    Learn everything a first year biology major should know. A range of information from photosynthesis to evolution and genetics.

    Take this course, yet do not assume it's an easy A. Material should be studied thoroughly and hours/days before an exam.

    Course Overview:

    Harry Haines sets clear expectations as a professor and he is always available to his students for help. Biology 110 is a great course because it gets into how living things work on the cellular level like incredible little machines. Its fascinating!

    Course highlights:

    I learned about cell structure and function, cellular respiration, photosynthesis, cellular reproduction, and evolution. The highlights of the course are the labs. I especially loved observing protists under a high-power microscope.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Take professor Haines' course and believe in yourself. You can do it!
