Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this Biology 126 because it is a great course. Through this course, I gain knowledge in the subjects of anatomy, physiology and ecology and I gained hands-on experience with techniques to study those subjects. Professor Togna and Smith, were amazing at explaining and helping students understand the functions and importance of said subjects.

    Course highlights:

In my personal experience, the highlight of this course was being able to apply what I learned in lecture to the course labs and my everyday life. In labs we dissected various animals and it was pleasing to know the different organ systems within the animals. Since taking this course, there isn't a day where I do not pass a plant and think whether is it s r or k selected species; Or where eat something and think about its journey through my body. In this course, I learned about the various physiological process and organ systems within my human body and how those processes are connected to my environment. Though this was a required course, learning about physiology and ecology was very thrilling to me and I learned a lot of things that will help me in the future, as a doctor.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

To exceed in this course, I would advise students to do the homework (Mastering Biology) and to study the power-points from the lectures. Taking notes from the homework and taking addition notes during lectures helped me a lot when studying for exams. The exams are relatively easy if you study because the material on the exams are from the homework and the power-points. I would also recommend going to office hours to review previous exams, even if you received a good score.
