Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Unfortunately, the reason I so highly recommend this course is because of the instructor: Juli LaRosa. The unfortunate part is that she has since left Drexel and relocated to Arizona State University. However, even without he instruction, Intro to Business was a ver interesting course that covered material regarding multifarious aspects of business, as well as supplied a deep understanding into sales pitches and financial analysis through in-class projects.

    Course highlights:

I gained a general understanding of types of businesses, marketing, and finance. I gained a very deep understanding of how to financially analyze the profitability and success of a business by viewing their financial statement (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow analysis, etc.). I also learned about giving a sales pitch and entrepreneurship in trying to promote one's own idea and get others on board in a "shark tank" simulation.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed, the best tool to have is a good attitude. Going into projects where you must cooperate with other group members as well as help each other understand major concepts, it was very beneficial to be working in a positive atmosphere and our professor made this very possible.
