    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    Although Swan can be a little dry at times when he teaches, the material is interesting and he demonstrates it in a way where you know that he is knowledgable. The exams were fair and the homework was do-able.

    Course highlights:

    Foundation bearing capacity, pile depth and design.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Work hard and do not be afraid to ask him questions about the material.

    Course Overview:

    Dr. Cheng is an excellent professor. Very clear and thorough.

    Course highlights:

    slab design and retaining wall design was most interesting

    Course Overview:

    this class is the general introduction of the structure foundation and the soil property. it introduces the different kinds of the typical foundation such as deep foundation and shallow foundation.

    Course highlights:

    I learn the different kinds of foundation and how they apply to real construction world. also how to evaluate the earth pressure and the cantilever structure.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    always attend to class and take notes and always ask questions , don't wait last minutes to do the homework. try to understand the concept and then do the homework
