    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone that is interested in the medical field or a biological profession. The professor teaches with great enthusiasm and makes this challenging class quite enjoyable. It is a great introductory course of cells and genetics.

    Course highlights:

By taking this course I learned the ins and outs of the basic building blocks of all of life. Our cells. It was very interesting to learn about how these small microscopic things are the building blocks of all life forms. A lab is included in this course, which I thought of as a highlight. It was great to be able to take what was learned in class and apply it to lab work that you were doing yourself.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are considering taking this course I would say to do your prep work. To study, it would help to take notes from the textbook as well as take the PowerPoints you were given and learn the ins and outs of them. The class was challenging, but with the right study habits it is possible to achieve a good grade. There were few exams, but a lot of chapters were included in each. With that being said, I found it best to study each chapter as she presented them, even way before we had an exam. This way you aren't trying to learn all of the information right before.
