Pretty easy, overall.
I recommend this course because it covers most of topics in biology without indulging in boring specific details. The professor is informative and entertaining, thus the lectures are not as boring as other classes. There are many chances to pull up your grades, thus it is should not be difficult to pass the classes. This course is a combination of lectures, labs, and recitations. There is not a lot of work, but it is quite fast paced since there are a lot of materials that need to be covered in a short amount of time.
The highlights of this course are basic elements of biology; the topics include basis of life, energy, DNA, Darwinian evolution, ecology, and human systems. There are many topics to be covered, thus the course does not dwell in specific details. You can still learn a lot about biology, but in general sense. This course is not for biology major, but rather for other majors that don’t require extensive amount of biology in their field. This course is more similar to an introduction to biology.
