    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    This course is a very important part of the learning process for nurses. The course allows you to efficiently provide Nursing Process and Center- Patient Care. Plus, it is a helpful class to learn how to eat more healthy and what happens within your own body.

    Course highlights:

    In the beginning of the semester, the class reviews the basics of wellness and programs that provide nutritional care across America. Then we go into the basic understandings of the six essential nutrients for the human body and how important they are to development. Farther into the semester we learn the digestion process and basic chemistry, applying it to nursing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Do your readings and study everything starred in the Power Points, even if it is not on the study guide.

    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    I definitely recommend this class because it is extremely applicable to your life, your family's life, and everyone else you come in contact with. In nursing, it is extremely applicable because everyone needs proper nutrition, especially our future patients!

    Course highlights:

    I learned so much from this course. I learned proper nutrition for many different conditions, for example, I learned nutrition therapy for patients with diabetes and cystic fibrosis. We learned so much and the fact that it was so applicable made it easier to learn. Not only did we learn nutrition therapy for a multitude of conditions, but we also learned just the proper way to eat in general and weight management tips, making it applicable to every single student personally.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    You have to attend every lecture possible or else you will not be able to learn the material. Dr. Mancino uses PowerPoints but also supplements these PowerPoints with important information to know for the exam. Also, Dr. Mancino even said herself that using flashcards to learn the material is extremely helpful.
