Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is web-assisted. The instructor provides excellent notes and videos integrates with the textbook material. She welcomes students to meet during her office hours, or email any questions regarding the course material. I can verify that she answered my questions promptly. Each chapter is followed by a short quiz; after two chapters she posts an exam. Notes and other material are allowed on the quizzes; however, the are prohibited on exams. Although material cannot be used during exams, students are allowed two attempts.

    Course highlights:

I am actually working on my third degree, so I have completed plethra of higher education courses. Honestly, I dreaded this course in the beginning, but surprisingly Microbiology has been the most interesting course I have ever attended. Researching various bacteria and viruses in now a pastime of mine.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Outline the major points from the instructor's notes. Then read the chapter highlighting the key details from the outline. Make notecards either digitally or by hand. for the vocabulary and key details. Watch the videos that the instructor posts. Also, use youtube to watch related videos.
