    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Excellent teacher with a lenient approach. Good on her word and easy to get 1 on 1 attention if needed. Knows her stuff and cares about her profession. Inspired me to pursue and English degree.

    Course highlights:

Mrs. Garrett granted the class a lot of creative freedom for the assignments, and allowed time for peer review before the papers were graded. This course did a good job with detailing how a paper should look.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Come in ready to write. But don’t expect to get ridiculous 10 page assignments or anything. It’s an intro course so the main focus is to ensure young writers know the fundamentals of composition.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this class, because it is a great refresher on the basics of essays and other basics that may have been forgotten. I have been fortunate to have had a great teacher, which no doubt has taught me many fundamentals that I have forgotten throughout my high school years.

    Course highlights:

I have gained a better grasp on writing skills. Learning how to brainstorm in many methods that I have not learned in high school. I now can be given an essay and know the first steps that I need to take.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Studying is a big key for success in this class, also paying attention. Take time to practice on your weakest points of your writing or English rules. This course can be challenging at times, but keep your head leveled and study for tests.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Consider yourself challenged in a good way! Very knowledgeable and encouraging as a professor!

    Course highlights:

I learn not to underestimate my writing skills and talents! Essays can be challenging, but very exciting if you let yourself get lost in words.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Complete your assignments, asks questions, and ask her for advice.
