    | Would recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Yes! It was not too stressful but still provided a good intro for essay writing.

    Course highlights:

I gained a greater understanding of how to find material for research based essays.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your research and bring hard copies of your essays to class.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The Professor was horrible. Ms. Conaway had recent medical issues that really overshadowed her ability to teach. She was rarely in class and was rarely available outside of class. She also didn't use the grading program for the university; you were never able to check your grades!

    Course highlights:

The teacher's aid was a saint! She taught class most of the time and was available to help you. She always responds to emails and was always very helpful.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not take the course with this professor! There are many, more capable instructors available.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It would be a good course for someone who has never taken a research class. I was required to take a research course my freshman year of high school. I feel like I had already learned most of what I was taught at Gannon back at my high school.

    Course highlights:

I learned a different research technique referred to as "recursive research." It taught me to go back and look at the work I had done and evidence I had gathered to ensure my argument was thorough and credible.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pick a topic as soon as you can. Research it. Find a large amount of sources and narrow it down to your most useful, credible, and interesting sources.
