    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Great class that is required for first year mechanical engineers. Taught very well at GCC because it is not taught to the AP test like in high school. The flow of the things that are taught makes a lot more sense and there seems to be better order to the things that are taught.

    Course highlights:

Your basic calc one course. A basic background of calc is not necessary but is recommended. The class covers a review in trig, limits, derivatives, applications of derivatives, integrals and then applications of integrals.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study everything! Make sure to go over the problems from class because the quizzes are sometimes examples from class.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's good for getting the Calc requirement out of the way, but Dean is a harsh grader.

    Course highlights:

Hightlights were you learned how to be humble and learn from mistakes.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do practice problems, pay attention to how he wants things.
