    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr.Gao helps strengthen your maturity and level of responsibility. He does not expect or require you to reply to every discussion post he creates. Dr.Gao also does not require you reply to a discussion every week, as long as you have replied to at least ten by the end of the semester. He does however still have exams based on the chapters you were supposed to be reading. Therefor you need to learn how to be responsible enough to make sure you are still reading and enforcing studying habits. As he gives you a few weeks in between exams you are able to work on your reading whenever you have time and at your own pace. As this course was online you were allowed to use notes and your book for exams. After the first exam you really start learning how to take notes as it is too difficult to refer to the book for every question. I would highly recommend this course as you learn a lot in a different way than you are used to.

    Course highlights:

You didn't just learn basic psychology and what it is. You were reading entire chapters on the brain and body, how they worked, and how they related to psychology. Each chapter was very thorough in explaining it's topic. So when you were learning about case studies you were receiving examples and information about every type used by psychologists. By taking Psych-101 I gained a very well rounded knowledge about psychology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you are taking a lot of notes. Not just on the big picture and main themes. You need to know the little stuff as well. Also make sure while taking notes you do so in a way that works best for you. You need to be able to really study your notes. I also recommend marking what page number each part of your notes were on. So if you aren't able to find information you need during the open-note exams, you can easily refer back to the section.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course was a typical entry level 101 course on psychology. I took it online, and we were required to do a weekly activity based on the reading and then had a test every few weeks alongside weekly discussion questions. We also wrote a few essays. This course follows right along with the book. As long as you read the assigned readings each week and complete the required assignments, you're guaranteed to do well.

    Course highlights:

We learned the basics of psychology including units such as: sleep, basic neurology, learning, and the sensory system

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to read the assigned chapters each week and you're guaranteed to do well!

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend taking this course because it's such an amazing class. You learn about different parts of the body. The teacher is amazing. She explains her lesson very well. She doesn't just "teach and go" she's very hands on.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were being in class and doing hands on activities. Getting involved with everyone in the class. It wasn't just lectures all class period.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study!!! Do not take this course if you're not serious about further your education. This class a great learning experienc, so give it your all. That means take time to read the book, study your notes for at least 15 minutes every night.
