    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Great professor but it is a difficult course. It is not just Biology that you are learning about. You are learning more about Bio-Chem.

    Course highlights:

The labs are the highlight of this course because you can perform hands-on experiments. I learned a lot about DNA, mitosis, fermentation, and much more.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the chapters and take a lot of notes. Study whenever you have the time.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are planning on being a science major, take this class. If you just need science credits, this isn't the class for you. This class sets up the major base information for microbiology and helps greatly with zoology and anatomy.

    Course highlights:

This class is difficult, but extremely worth it. I learned so much information in lecture, lab, and on my own investigations at home.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Take the time out of each day to make sure you know the information that was taught in that week's lecture. This isn't just "another science class", it's hard.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The professor makes the course manageable and interesting. He provides extra credit and encourages student questions. There is no question too simple and he will take his time to help all students. The professor is passionate about the subject and it seems his goals to encourage the same in all his students.

    Course highlights:

The labs were interesting. The extraction of DNA from plant matter provided a clear understanding of how many living things surround us. The final lab "field trip" on campus to discover and document interactions between as many life forms as possible, was both enjoyable and beneficial.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

This is an excellent course and professor. It is a good course to take not only for Biology majors, but also for any student. This course will not pull down your GPA.
