    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this course to anyone who struggles to keep up with a fast pace. I also would not recommend this course to anyone who finds the topics of gender and race offensive, because I know the discussions can get rather heated.

    Course highlights:

I learned that you must work extremely hard on all of the essays that you write in college. The grades made on these essays can make or break you, so you definitely have to stay caught up. You also must attend as many classes as you possibly can, because many professors offer points for you to simply show up. These points make a big difference when added up!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Choose your professor wisely and always do your best. Show up to every class, if possible. Do not get behind on your work, because it is hard to catch up! Read for all of your reading quizzes and do not be afraid to ask questions! Stay confident and you will do perfectly fine!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a fun class if you want to improve your writing skills. It can be useful for other subjects as well.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to properly do academic research. The subjects are interesting so you definitely won't get bored.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do the reading because that will help. It also doesn't hurt to do research on a topic outside of class to get more knowledge about it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class was very interactive and the teacher made sure to involve everyone! However make sure you watch out for using, I, in your essays because you will be marked down for that!

    Course highlights:

One of the things I learned was more or the process on how to write a good essay. You get graded on your outline and having your drafts done for class. In small groups you will go over your drafts and it is actually really helpful because you have the opinions of your peers which helps your essays be better.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Actually doing the outlines for your essays is super helpful! If you just do a short outline with one or two words per thought you will start writing your essay and totally forget where you were going and it will make writing the essay harder in the long run.
