Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She is a very passionate and incredible professor! I learned so much about society in her class that I didn't know before, and she made the class very enjoyable!

    Course highlights:

One of the most enjoyable things that we did in this course was play the "star power" game which taught us about power within different social classes in America. For instance, if you are in the upper class, you might be able to make/change rules to remain in that standing. Another great thing that we learned was social norm. We were encouraged to each try to do something outside of social norm (stand backwards in an elevator, push your grocery cart, etc,) and record the reactions of people around you. Often, people will have negative remarks about something that doesn't fit into the social norm.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely take this course because it will broaden your knowledge about society as a whole. Read the required textbook material because half of what she tests on is found in the book while the other half is taught in her lectures. She loves to lecture, but she has so many interesting things to say that it's almost not even a lecture. It's simply fun!
