    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it prepares you to deal with people from all walks of life and Dr. Lanter is an awesome teacher who not only uses course material but his own personal experiences to teach.

    Course highlights:

I thought the highlights of this course is not only learning about how other people act and think, but also giving you an insight into your own mind. I learned a lot of things about myself through this course and it has better abled me to cope with some of the anxieties and stresses of life.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class and pay attention. Take notes in lecture because the teacher uses things that aren't in the text to teach. Read the correlating chapter before and after lecture to help you better understand the course.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is insightful and the professor is energetic. When a professor is outgoing and truly loves what they are doing it makes the course more fun and that is exactly what happens during this class. As long as you take the time to study, the class is fun and easy.

    Course highlights:

I gained insight on mental health concerns and why the brain may react differently with one person versus another. If you are interested in psychology as a major I would definitely start with this class because it talks about the basics so you can take classes after to build upon the knowledge learned.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study as you learn the material and make flashcards. As long as you do not cram for exams then the class will come easily and even if you are not interested in psychology long term it is knowledge that will help you on a daily basis when interacting with others.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Psychology is one of the areas that I'm extremely interested in, so despite the course not being required, I took it anyway to learn more. It was fantastic, and I learned so much from that class. Now I want to declare a psych minor.

    Course highlights:

General psychology covers the basics of psychology, but Professor Akillas was very thorough in his teaching. It was great because I could just tell that he knew what he was talking about. His slides were just outlines of what he was going to talk about, and he hardly looked at the powerpoint during class--only to know what topic to go to next. Not only that, but he cracked a few jokes while he taught that made class more fun. He's definitely one of my favorite professors thus far.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Though it wasn't a requirement to attend his class, definitely go. His powerpoints were only outlines for the lecture; it didn't have the information he talked about, and the class had no textbook to look from. You learned from going to class and writing notes.
