Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

In order to fully understand why things happen the way they do within the body, this course is significant. This course is especially important is you want to work in the health field, this class is the beginners course to begin your career.

    Course highlights:

I learned so many biological systems, like the process of mitosis and meiosis: which is how somatic and sex cells are made. There are so many other cool processes that allow you to demonstrate the complexity of the body.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell the students you STUDY! The things learned in the class are not easy concepts and take much time to actually comprehend whereas you are able to write them in essay form on a test. The professor uses PowerPoint to explain all concepts, so take in depth notes. For extra comprehension, reading the book always helps, but the professor does break most concepts down in a better way for the student to understand.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to any bio major because it is basically the foundation to everything else you are going to learn in the more advanced bio classes. The professor I had Prof. Safford was amazing. She was always willing to stay after class or make office hour times if you asked. She is also someone who would be a great person to ask for recommendation letters. As long as you did good in her class

    Course highlights:

    We learned plants and animals.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up on your studying and make sure you take the appropriate notes in class because she will throw trick questions on the test that have to do with the notes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course strictly to those who are willing to work hard for what they want. Dr. Royer is a wonderful professor who does not tolerate laziness. Also students who take this course are trained to think outside the box. participation counts a lot. It may not seem like it but nothing ever goes unnoticed by Dr. Royer

    Course highlights:

This course was a deal breaker for me. It was basically an introduction to the Biology major. It described what taking a biology major would entail. In this class I learnt what biology is about. This way, I knew if I wanted to proceed with biology or not.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Listening in class will be very effective in this course. Also students who wish to take this course should do their assignments themselves and study those assignments. For finals, students should study their past test questions. Also, I strongly advise students to read their textbooks.
