    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Well if you're going into the scientific field, Principles of Biology I, is a course you have to take. I'd recommend it because it covers the basics of biology. Also, if your high school was like mine, this is where you are first introduced to lab reports.

    Course highlights:

Labs, definitely. Through the lab reports, I learned how to apply biology into the real world and how to compare results of different solutions. Labs give a broader more realistic understanding of certain concepts of biology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always read the textbook before lecture, answer the questions in the book, and have questions prepared for class. That way, when you get to class you have a brief understanding of what's going on and the lecture will further help with understanding. Also, know the vocabulary, knowing vocabulary will help you in the long run!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Not boring! Keeps my attention. Very good at elxpaining confusing content.

    Course highlights:

I liked our lab time the best. Because he doesnt have to lecture, he is able to walk around and socialize while still helping us through the lab.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always, no matter what, go to labs. Thats how you get the most out of the course.

Dr. McDonald is very knowledgeable about what she is lecturing on. She will make sure you know the material and learn in her class.

    Course highlights:

Getting use to and learning how to use Cengage; Mind Tap. Mind Tap was the online learning tool which was different if a better way then any other school tool I've used.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you just simply go to class, that will help you pass this class. If you miss a day, your getting way behind.
