    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I took this course over J-term (back when we offered that) to satisfy a core requirement. Professor Z is enthusiastic about what she does and really encourages you think outside the box. It's a lot of reading, but she keeps it interesting and exposes you to a lot of different kinds of material!

    Course highlights:

I think the highlights were probably the variety of different ways she tries to teach you and the variety in the material itself. This isn't your typical English class with a repetitive cycle of reading and essays, she gets you involved with class skits, has class discussion on how you interpret specific quotes and scenarios, etc.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to read and really think about what you're reading! She's sure to ask you for your opinion/interpretation pretty often and it will be evident when you don't do the assignments.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course provided me with a variety of new and interesting information while actively engaging me.

    Course highlights:

Reading and discussing the pieces of literature was exciting and enabled me to have a better understanding of western style writing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the time to read the readings, as the quizzes and tests include in depth questions related to them.
