Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is extremely knowledgeable and approachable. She is very helpful and creates a learning environment that keeps the attention of the students and is broken down to exactly what is expected of us.

    Course highlights:

I never have taken a public speaking class before so I've learned everything from how to not be so nervous to running through an outline and properly formatting papers.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do work and make sure you stay on top of the assignments. Make sure you do not miss your speeches and come prepared! Take it seriously, you can learn a lot about yourself that may prepare you for a successful future

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Cartwright is an amazing professor. I was not thrilled in taking a speech class, but he made it very enjoyable. I had this course at 8 am, which is a typically a struggle. Dr. Cartwright is very helpful. I went to his office hours and he would been even more thorough and give great advice. As long as you take the course seriously, you will do extremely well.

    Course highlights:

I gained confidence in speaking in front of peers. The four speeches we had to give were easy, not too long, and you could pick any topic you wanted. He gives class time to prepare your speeches and peer reviews. The tests are very easy as long as you pay attention in class. The book was not super helpful, but he does reference it a lot. I learned so much from speech to life from Dr. Cartwright.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

A study tip would be to outline your notes exactly like how he displays them on the overhead in the lecture. A majority of his test questions are phrased as they are given in the notes.
