    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course does help a student become more prepared when it comes to public speaking. I was very nervous about speaking in front of my peers but after this course I don't feel so afraid anymore. The professor is actually nice but his teaching method is not the best. We had to rent a book but we did not even used it.

    Course highlights:

Like I stated above, I was very afraid of public speaking. This course actually helped me how to control my nerves and how to feel a bit more confident when it comes to presenting in front of others. it also helped me with typing my outlines.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Finish your work on time. Make sure you practice your speech before presenting. If you are struggling go speak with the professor. He is understanding.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I don't like speaking in front of people, but this course really helped me prepare speeches and presentations and become more comfortable with it. Dr. McGrath is one of the nicest professors ever!

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write, practice, and perform speeches. We got to choose our own speech topics, which was very nice. We watched video examples of very good and a couple bad speeches. We also learned ways to calm our nerves before a speech.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You should read the book because it was very easy to read, and the information is actually very useful in life. Everyone has to speak to people, so take the advice from the book. Review the chapter summaries before tests.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Sadly, I cannot recommend him because he is retired.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course was Professor Ellis' humorous stories of his experiences as a student and educator. I learned how communication can be interpreted and interfered with.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Choose speech topics that you are actually interested or passionate about. This makes the task much easier to complete.
