Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course opened my eyes to a multitude of social justice issues including the topic of white privilege. The course was structured around selected readings, essays, and class discussions which helped me process the sensitive material.

    Course highlights:

I read many seminal pieces relating to multiculturalism and diversity issues including The Invisible Knapsack and Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together. I learned to explore and confront my own white privilege and to see the world through a different lens.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep an open mind and do the readings because they will teach you so much. Kate Richmond is a supportive and helpful. Try to speak in class at least once a week and come with questions.
