    This class was tough.

Professor Newman is one of the best professors at PHCC

    Course highlights:

I have not yet forgotten most of what I learned in this class and still use it in my day to day life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Treat the professor with respect and never sell yourself short. Shoot for your best and don't give up.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course. It is a starting English course that is required to take higher leveled English classes.

    Course highlights:

My writing is a lot more detailed. I learned proper writing. Contractions are not professional and some professors believe that they should not even be in your papers. I learned the comma rules and how to properly use a comma, semicolon, and such.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always reread your papers. If you have the chance, go to the tutoring center for help because your peers in the class may miss things.

The feedback from Dr. Cope was very helpful. She is always available to help students and the feedback allows for students to improve their skills in the next assignment. I think learning how to become a better writer through this course is certainly and advantageous highlight.
