    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is very challenging, but Dr. Kalevitch offers tools to help you gain maximum understanding of the concepts and material covered.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were the projects we completed to help better understand the material we were covering at the time. It gave us more opportunities to study the chapters. I learned that reinforcement and repetition of the material is the best way to truly learn and understand it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I advise you to read the chapters in advance and to take notes on her presentations as she lectures because it's too fast-paced to just solely take your own notes during class. She emails the presentations to you in advance so that you can print them out or save to your computer. Learn the presentations inside and out because almost all of the information presented will be on the exam at least once.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I suggest that any stident taking this couse to have a strong stomach. Be prepared to look at some pretty disgusting bacteria. Also be prepared to look at everything from food to surfaces you touch daily differently. This class is definitely an eye opener just be ready to learn hands-on.
