    Course Overview:

Considering the fact that it is essential for Pre-Health students, I would strongly recommend other aspiring medical students to take this course. From my own view, Biology is a mind broadening subject and gives us a practical understanding of the world since we can relate to it as living organisms depending of what nature has to offer for our survival.

    Course highlights:

This course does not only teach me biological theories and concepts, but it also teaches me the art of discipline and honesty. Its a hectic course that requires a lot of practice, reading and research, therefore one needs to be disciplined and organised to make enough time for study, rest and extra research and work outside the lecture room. Lastly, this also helps you discover your inner scientist. Course highlights:

Personally, I am a fitness fanatic and I'm very cautious about my health and physical being . The topic I've found so interesting so far is Metabolism and repiration. It also covers basic nutritional facts that contribute to obesity and boasting metabolism. In another topic about botanical plants, I also learnt that some medicines such as Garcinier Cambodia are not always effective for weight loss, but what really contributes to weight loss and healthy living is the consumption of natural foods and quantities also play a big role. In a nutshell, wise food selection, quantity and time of consumption is key for a better and healthier living. Of course with regular exercise .

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Never let your notes pile up. Everyday you learn something new, read it that night after. Also reading in advance (before the lesson) also helps. As for math, daily practice is very essential for success. Moreover, DONOT only rely on the professor's notes but go research further on the internet or library. Lastly, you must walk into each class with a positive mind and enjoy learning new concepts. Remember to never feel shy to ask questions in class, it prevents you from falling asleep in class and you will never forget answers to questions which you will have asked.
