I took French for years and I wanted to try a new language in college, so I choose Italian because I’ve wanted to learn it for a long time.
I learned the alphabet, numbers, and colors, as well as how to conjugate verbs. I also learned a long list of adjectives and how to use them to describe things.

No previous knowledge of the language is needed to do well. I would also tell them that they will learn a lot if they practice and participate in class.
