Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because the professor does a great job at accurately explaining general chemistry. The power points provided by this teacher were very helpful. The teacher also taught from the textbook and made the homework very similar to test which was helpful.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about general chemistry that I did not learn in High School. I learned a lot about the history behind chemistry and the basics to help me move on to higher level science classes.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book before you go to lecture, because then during lecture you will understand more what the teacher is teaching. Also ask questions, and go to office hours to get additional help on subjects you are struggling in.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course because Dr. Boron is an excellent professor who listens to the students and does everything he can to help. He does not fly through material if the students are not understanding. He also goes out of his way to help others and make his classroom a fun and interactive atmosphere for students to thrive in.

    Course highlights:

In this course, Dr. Boron basically covers ideas learned in high school chemistry, but gives a deeper, more thorough understanding of them. He taught us things like Avagadro's number and why it is what it is, polarity, and also electrostatic efficiency.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To do well in general chemistry, come with an open mind. Do not walk in thinking that since high school chemistry was easy and that you can easily get a good grade in basic level chemistry in college. This class takes a lot of attention and work. Do not slack off and start the homework late because you will be extremely stressed out the night before it is due.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for all Chemistry majors because it is required. This is the basics of your Chemistry career. This specific professor is a great professor he explains the material in different ways giving you an opportunity to learn in different ways.

    Course highlights:

You learn the basics of chemistry but they split the first year of chemistry in two so you aren't overwhelmed and overloaded with chemistry. This is a tough course and if you don't pass this course with a C or higher you can't move on which will put you behind.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Actually read the book thoroughly and do well on all of your homework and class work just in case you fail your exams. If you need help ask for help do not slack behind because you will stay behind.
