Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course. If you have any interest in our criminal justice system or law enforcement, Intro to Criminal Justice is a course you should take. Even if you are an undeclared major like myself, you should consider signing up for the course. You will learn the basics of the criminal justice system and will briefly highlight some of the issues within the system.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed the group debates that we had in class. We discussed whether we believed the death penalty should be abolished or kept. Majority of the class argued we should get rid of it. I learned that a lot of America believes that we should still have the death penalty. There are 19 states that do not use the death penalty. It made us all stop and think to ourselves, why do people favor this inhumane act?

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It is nice to meet up with perhaps some of your peers in this course outside of class and discuss what you went over in the week. I think it is fun to further discuss some issues and perhaps come up with your own questions for one another and discuss what you have issues with.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Since she extensive background in the subject, learning for her is great because you feel as though you're getting a good amount of information out of the class.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about basic criminal law, such as court room proceedings and how cops handle their part of the system. For example, types of searches and the different styles of policing.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to every class, I don't care how tired you are, it's worth it. Also, ALWAYS look at the study guides. She isn't a tricky professor and, as long as you pay attention, she lets you know what she expects.
