    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

he is an awful professor and grades way to hard. If you want to have to re-take RMI then he is your guy!

    Course highlights:

I learned about insurance and how the industry is constantly evolving. You learn alot from reading the textbook as well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is way to hard for most people. 50% of the students are either failing or just on the border of this class. I can't give any advice except for read textbook and notes and maybe you will do ok.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a required class, so all business students must take it; however, McCloskey gives great examples and explains the material in a manner that the class is fun and the material is much easier to understand.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would have to be the funny videos he would show in class (seinfeld, The Simpsons) and the material was also very interesting. Learned everything from what risk management actually is, to different types of insurance (life, health, auto), and finished off with a budgeting course with how to invest in 401Ks, IRAs, Roth funds, etc...

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Overall great required course, but very challenging. Must keep up with the readings and must STUDY if want to do well. If I could repeat the course again, I would create outlines after every class, since his lectures are very in depth and the information is very much needed for exams. Keep great notes, outlines, and read the book/readings and you'll be fine.
