    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It offers a great opportunity to learn relevant skills and allows students to use their creativity to solve problems.

    Course highlights:

Building applications. Building applications is like solving a puzzle. You have to think of possible solutions, test them out, and see the results. It is very rewarding to see how your creativity and ability to critical think translates to a final product.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice practice practice. Coding is learned by doing. Don't copy and paste code in order to complete assignments. Yes this will help you complete the assignment, however you will not learn anything nor will you be prepared for the tests.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's unfortunate that this is a required course. Class gets hard really fast. Shafer is a great person and he's always willing to help, but he can't teach the material well. Prepare to do a lot of learning on your own. Exams are very tough and the fail rate is about 50%.

    Course highlights:

Learned a lot about HTML and SQL

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book, practice the challenges and exercises over and over again until you can do them on your own without needing the answer key.
