    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Most people who take OChem are required, but definitely do your research about the professor you take it with. For this professor, I found it difficult to know where I stood in comparison to everyone else during the semester because almost everyone was failing...if they were passing it was not by much.

    Course highlights:

I definitely learned a lot of the basics of Organic Chemistry, and the lectures were very relaxed. Maybe too relaxed because the professor did not have anything prepared and went off on a lot of tangents. Even though the tests were super hard, most of the material was stuff he had at least mentioned before.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely read the textbook because the professor talks about a lot of concepts, but sometimes he misses a few or doesn't go into enough detail. Practice a lot of problems. Watch Kahn Academy videos. Do the online homework. Go to lecture. But most important, research your professor first.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course may seem a little intimidating at first, but after loads of practice and a modeling kit, you're set! Honestly, it's not as hard if you can find your way to visualize the structures.

    Course highlights:

I'm pretty sure this course is mostly about carbon structures because there's something about carbons, yaknow.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Get a modeling kit and try not to miss lectures.
