Background Knowledge Expected
This class was tough.
Personally, I enjoy the teacher, but she has her flaws and they reflect in her classes. She knows what she's doing and it totally shows, but that's what makes it hard. A lot of times she ends up explaining things to fast or not enough details, and even when students pose questions to her, she fails to answer the question at hand, instead explaining something else entirely. However, she does provide access to a lot of materials for this course so it's not really too bad of a stuggle to find information and study on your own.
Most of all, I learned HOW to study by taking this class with this instructor. It certainly rushed me into the college life and the demands that come with it. It can be difficult to adapt to college life and the freedom and time management is a skill you'll have to conquer quick in college. All in all, the material covered is quite similar to high school chemistry, just much more in detail. Thermochemistry is a big thing with this teacher so get it down pat, Oh, and all of the formulas and math.

Advice for students:
If you think you can handle the work load, do it. If not, try to get into Fasella or Morlino's general chemistry 1, I hear they're easier, especially Fasella
