    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was a challenging weed-out course where you learn the foundation for a lot of biology concepts you will learn later on. However, if you can survive Gen Bio you will be able to do any other biology class at Villanova.

    Course highlights:

This class covered a lot of information, but genetics and development (mitosis/meiosis) where the most interesting as well as challenging.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely do the reading before class instead of after class (or never)! If you do that, it will be so much easier to keep up in class. This way, you don't leave class confused and wondering what you just learned.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend it 10/10! The class was extremely interesting and the professors are extremely helpful!

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were definitely bridging the gap between learning about the ecosystem and the human body.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely recommend rewatching all of the lectures and taking notes as you do so.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course was very stimulating and the material was overwhelming but also very enriching. I did not give this course five stars because while it was an interesting class, it was very easy to fall behind or get confused being that it was a huge lecture hall.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course to me were that the material was generally related to real life situations and the professors were easy to communicate with.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not read the textbook for all material, rather use it as a form of clarification rather than a primary learning source.
