    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I had to take this course for my major but it would interest anyone into science like myself. This course is very challenging but a great option if you want to challenge yourself.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about cellular respiration and photosynthesis. A lot of time is also spent on evolution. I had to study a lot but really enjoyed it when I got a good grade.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely go to office hours because he will help you learn the information. You are going to have to study if you want a good grade.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Very challenging, but interesting. It must be taken with a lab. Lectures will not be boring if you are interested in biology. Professor Alud is very laid back when it comes to coming in late and offers a reasonable amount of extra credit.

    Course highlights:

Topics taught throughout the course included: basic cell physiology, photosynthesis, cellular respiration, meiosis, mitosis, ecology, genetics, etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is definitely necessary to keep up with the homework assignments. Use your resources, form study groups, and make the most out of office hours.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Overall, I would recommend this course. It is very informative and even if you are not a biology major, it will give you great knowledge. Dr. Auld makes it easy to understand and if you are committed to doing well, you will do well.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the general biology of life. There was a lot of information covered but not too much.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the powerpoints, and the book. Make flashcards and spend time studying, not just two days before the test.
