    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a very challenging class, Dr. Auld's exams are difficult and will require you to put a lot of time and effort into studying for this course. It is important that you read the textbook for this course because you will not get enough from the lectures.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me the general concepts of biology such as evolution, photosynthesis, cells, and ecology, you will have a thorough understanding of these concepts. Personally, I learned the most from the weekly labs where I got more hand on experience.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook, there are only two hours of lecture per week, there will be more on the test than on the lecture slides, that is why it is important to use the textbook, I recommend reading the chapter before it is covered during lecture, that way you can have questions prepared and can clear up anything you don't understand during class. Take good notes, I would recommend printing out the slides before class and add notes where necessary.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I had to take this course for my major but it would interest anyone into science like myself. This course is very challenging but a great option if you want to challenge yourself.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about cellular respiration and photosynthesis. A lot of time is also spent on evolution. I had to study a lot but really enjoyed it when I got a good grade.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely go to office hours because he will help you learn the information. You are going to have to study if you want a good grade.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Very challenging, but interesting. It must be taken with a lab. Lectures will not be boring if you are interested in biology. Professor Alud is very laid back when it comes to coming in late and offers a reasonable amount of extra credit.

    Course highlights:

Topics taught throughout the course included: basic cell physiology, photosynthesis, cellular respiration, meiosis, mitosis, ecology, genetics, etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is definitely necessary to keep up with the homework assignments. Use your resources, form study groups, and make the most out of office hours.
