Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved this course! Dr. Blankenship is really passionate about the Bible and that translates into a great class where you learn. He also is fair, he looks at your work and grades you what you deserve, but he also doesn't want to see you fail. He will work with you if you ask him to. He tries to make the course as understandable as possible in a class about a completely different culture. He also so has some really great stories!

    Course highlights:

This course taught me so much about the culture of the Old Testament Israelites and their surroundings. It opened my eyes even more to the background of the stories we learned as kids in Sunday School. This class certainly improved my understanding of Scriptures and therefore my understanding of my Lord and Savior.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

When he assigns readings, DO THEM! The quizzes are a decent portion of your grade. Also, for exams, study the pdfs and take diligent notes in class; if he writes something on the board, it will appear on the test, if he says something in the review period at the beginning of class, it too will appear on the test.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because Dr. Villa is dedicated to teaching the word to students, and he will do what it takes to make sure they understand the text and don't just memorize.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Vila always had a sense of humor. My favorite class was his lecture on Song of Solomon.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the readings and start papers weeks in advance so that you have time to do the research.
